Smell PGH

Smell PGH crowdsources smell reports so we all can better track how odors from pollutants travel through the air across the Pittsburgh region.

Plume Pittsburgh

CREATE Lab has developed PlumePGH to integrate crowd-sourced data from SmellPGH with NOAA weather models and air quality monitoring data from regulatory and citizen-owned networks.

ESDR

ESDR is a free and open-source repository for environmental sensor data.

Continuation and expansion of a model for incorporating relevant data technologies into classroom curriculum, with the education expertise of West Liberty University and technology expertise of the CREATE Lab.

We aim to provide effective and accessible tools to teach young children about their big feelings and how to regulate them.

GigaPan helps bring distant communities and peoples together through images that have so much detail that they are, themselves, the objects of exploration, discovery, and wonder.

Smell MyCity

Anyone in the U.S. can submit a smell report through Smell MyCity! This app was designed for a national audience. Any community can use the Smell MyCity app to collectively document pollution odors in their neighborhood.

The Breathe Cams are high-resolution, zoomable, 24-hour live camera feeds of Pittsburgh’s skyline, the Mon Valley and the Ohio River Valley to help you discover more about the air you breathe.
